Self-Help housing Assisted 42 families in completing the construction of their new homes. 55 other families were in the process of construction as of June 30, 2020.Home buyer Assistance Program 35 families received secondary mortgage financing to help them purchase homes.Rehabilitation 30 families received financing and assistance in the rehabilitation or reconstruction of their homes. An additional 33 families were assisted with emergency home repairs or domestic well financing.Multifamily Housing 1,658 low-income housing families reside in 39 affordable rental housing projects developed and sponsored by Self-Help Enterprises. Three projects are currently under construction. Each project provides a range of resident services, such as after school day care, computer labs, ESL and Citizenship classes.Community Development Assistance to small communities with sewer and clean water issues is ongoing with work being done in more than 148 small rural communities.Home Ownership Education and Counseling 1,616 low-income households received individual and/or classroom homeownership training to prepare them for home ownership.
