WINTER FESTIVAL IS HOSTED IN VISTA VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER AND IS A MARKETPLACE WITH ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL AGES FROM MUSIC, DANCE TO STORY TIME. PICTURES WITH SANTA ARE AVAILABLE. THIS IS ALSO THE COMMUNITY'S TREE LIGHTING WITH APPROXIMATELY 5000 IN ATTENDANCE TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL LIGHTS THE COMMUNITY TREE.
The Rod Run/BBQ Event weekend attracts participants from all over which not only encourages thousands of people to visit downtown Vista, but also encourages merchants to extend their business hours for the event.
Taste of Vista highlights Vista Restaurants and Vista based breweries in one location, bringing over 1,000 people into the downtown area and showcasing the fine food and drink Vista has to offer. The Strawberry Festival and Fun Run attracted more than 80,000 to Vista for the day. And again business owners were encouraged to extend their business hours on the days of the events.
