Discover Engineering! Summer Camp for high school students. During the pandemic, 60 high school students gathered daily via Zoom to learn how to assemble and program robots. Working in teams, they had to collaborate and problem-solve with their teammates to get their robots programmed for the final competition at the end of the week.
Contra Costa County Science & Engineering Fair. One hundred thirty junior and senior high school students submitted project applications for 100 science projects. Working alone or in a team of up to three students, students explore the scientific method or create an engineering design, record the results of their experiment, and create a project board to tell that story. Industry representatives serve as judges who interviewed the students, and then selected winning projects from each of six categories.
