Organizations Filed Purposes: Easterseals Northern California (ESNorcal) is leading the way to ensure that individuals and families affected by disabilities can live, learn, work and play to their full potential.

Easterseals Northern Californias autism programs provide clients who have received a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with direct services that support their treatment goals identified at intake. The programming for autism includes Individual Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the clinic or home; Group ABA in the clinic; Parent-Led ABA, in which eligible parents or caregivers are provided comprehensive curriculum along with coaching by practitioners to facilitate treatment at-home; as well as the introduction of a new service line in support of social skills building in clients ages 1-25, called Social Skills Groups, which are performed in the clinic. These ABA programs served a combined total of 700 clients in fiscal year 2019 in 24 Northern California counties. Easterseals Northern Californias services were given a continued 3-year accreditation by CARF for its ABA services, Behavior Consultation services, Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters (PLAY) Project services, its increase in Parent-Led ABA services, Early Intervention services and adult services in fiscal year 2019.

Easterseals Northern Californias Early Intervention (EI) program serves children from birth to age 3, and provides individualized treatment plans that address overall development, motor skills and language. Early Interventionists help support families through education and coaching, and through consultation with schools, childcare agencies and other service providers. Easterseals Northern Californias EI program in Lake County, California, in partnership with First 5 Lake County, provides a free screening and resource help line (the ChildFind Linkages line) available to all residents of Lake County; additionally, the program provides a number of parent workshops, as well as space for parent visitations, local service provider workshops and drop-in play sessions. The EI program at Easterseals Northern California served453client families in fiscal year 2019; the ChildFind help line received324calls in fiscal year 2019. Easterseals Northern Californias Speech Therapy program works closely with the EI program to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech/language disorders, and served27individuals in fiscal year 2019.

Kaleidoscope is a Community Adult Program based in Dublin, California that offers specific programming for adults with special needs. These services help adults integrate into the community and include employment readiness and development, independent living skills, community inclusion, socialization and many other beneficial activities. The program served 19 participants in fiscal year 2019 and, using the funds raised during fiscal years 2018 and 2019, the program was able to expand its fleet of accessible vehicles for community outings and to increase participant count. In 2019, Easterseals Northern California purchased two (2) wheelchair-accessible vehicles in support of the expansion of this program.
