NVFA PRESENTS THE ANNUAL FESTIVAL NAPA VALLEY,OFFERING THE FINEST IN THE PERFORMING ARTS INCLUDING CLASSICAL AND CHAMBER MUSIC, JAZZ, DANCE, OPERA, BALLET AND THEATER, AS WELL AS FREE COMMUNITY CONCERTS, CONCERTS FOR KIDS, AND YOUNG ARTIST SERIES. VENUES RANGE FROM PERFORMING ARTS CENTERS TO SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY CENTERS,CHURCHES,WINERIES, AND OUTDOOR STAGES. MORE THAN 6000 FREE CONCERT TICKETS ARE PROVIDED EVERY YEAR TO VETERANS, SENIORS, YOUTH, AND LOW-INCOME FAMILIES.
EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES:NAPA VALLEY FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION SPONSORS A WIDE RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES. THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH NAPA COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, NVFA SUPPORTS K-12 VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS, AND PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK YOUTH. NVFA UNDERWROTE NAPA VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT'S FIRST ARTS EDUCATION MASTER PLAN AND CONTINUES TO FUND ITS IMPLEMENTATION. EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES ALSO INCLUDE A TUITION-FREE SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMY FOR COLLEGIATE, GRADUATE, AND EARLY-CAREER PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS; MERIT AND NEEDS-BASED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS; AND ARTS FOR ALL SUMMER CAMPS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS AND THE NAPA COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION, PROVIDING WEEKLONG OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOW-INCOME YOUTH AGES 6-18 TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN THE PERFORMING ARTS.
CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC VITALITY:NAPA VALLEY FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION ENRICHES THE CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC VITALITY OF THE NAPA VALLEY THROUGH FOOD, WINE, WELLNESS, AND HOSPITALITY EVENTS IN COLLABORATION WITH MORE THAN 100 PARTNER WINERIES, RESTAURANTS, RESORTS, AND INSTITUTIONS. TASTE OF NAPA, ONE OF THE FESTIVAL'S SIGNATURE EVENTS, SHOWCASES WINE AND CULINARY DELICACIES FROM LOCAL WINERIES, RESTAURANTS, AND FOOD ARTISANS. THE ARTS FOR ALL GALA RAISES FUNDS FOR FREE AND AFFORDABLE ACCESS TO PERFORMANCES AND SUPPORTS PUBLIC SCHOOL ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN NAPA COUNTY, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EMERGING MUSICIANS, AND THE FESTIVAL'S TUITION-FREE SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMY.
