IN 2019, CENTRAL COAST ENERGY SERVICES PROVIDED LIHEAP PAYMENT ASSISTANCE BENEFITS TOTALING $6,441,485.07 TO 20,960 LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS IN MONTEREY COUNTY, SAN MATEO COUNTY, SANTA CRUZ COUNTY AND THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO. CLOSE TO 40% OF THE HOUSEHOLDS SERVED, RECEIVED ASSISTANCE TO PREVENT DISCONNECTION OR TO RESTORE UTILITY SERVICES. OF THE HOUSEHOLDS THAT RECEIVED PAYMENT ASSISTANCE, 15,728 HOUSEHOLDS CONTAINED AT LEAST ONE PERSON OVER THE AGE OF 65. 10,204 HOUSEHOLDS CONTAINED AT LEAST ONE DISABLED PERSON. 3817 HOUSEHOLDS HAD CHILDREN AGE 5 AND UNDER. THE COST INCURRED BY CCES TO ADMINISTER THE PAYMENT ASSISTANCE AND CUSTOMER EDUCATION PROGRAM WAS $1,048,585.31.CENTRAL COAST ENERGY SERVICES' HOME WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM ALSO ASSISTED 1325 LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLDS WITH $1,768,000 MILLION IN ENERGY EFFICIENT UPGRADES. 1139 INDIVIDUALS LIVING IN THE ASSISTED HOUSEHOLDS ARE OVER THE AGE OF 65,540 ARE DISABLED, 221 HAVE CHILDREN AGE 5 AND UNDER. CENTRAL COAST ENERGY SERVICES SERVES THE COUNTIES OF SANTA CRUZ, MONTEREY, SAN BENITO, SAN MATEO, MARIN AND THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO. TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND REDUCE ENERGY COSTS, REPLACED INEFFICIENT & UNSAFE SPACE HEATING SYSTEMS AND WATER HEATERS. THE COSTS TO ADMINISTER THE WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM INCLUDING CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, TOOLS, SUBCONTRACT, AND LABOR WAS $5,994,766.65.
CENTRAL COST ENERGY SERVICES PROVIDES WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLDS UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR LOW-INCOME PERSONS. THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM REDUCES COSTS FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS BY INCREASING THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF THEIR HOMES, WHILE ENSURING THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY. CCES ASSISTED 36 HOUSEHOLDS IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, MONTEREY COUNTY AND SANTA CLARA COUNTY WITH WEATHERIZATION SERVICES. 47% OF HOUSEHOLDS ASSISTED HAD AT LEAST ONE MEMBER OVER THE AGE OF 65 YEARS. 38% OF HOUSEHOLDS ASSISTED HAD AT LEAST ONE MEMBER WITH DISABILITIES. 36% OF HOUSEHOLDS REACHED BY CENTRAL COAST ENERGY SERVICES THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM HAD CHILDREN AGE 5 AND UNDER.
DEVELOPED A DATABASE PROGRAM TO AUTOMATE LOW-INCOME SERVICES DELIVERY OPERATIONS. PROVIDED TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING AND SYSTEM UPDATES.
