Network Delaware mission's is to "activate change agents."
Delaware Immigrant Fund: Since its inception on May 15th 2020, the Delaware Immigrant Fund received near 500 applications requesting over $350,000 in emergency financial relief aid. So far the Delaware Immigrant Fund has distributed around $80,000 in support for individuals and families to cover rent and utility expenses. Of the applicants, 95 percent had been laid off and/or lost hours/wages due to COVID-19, 86 percent are single parents or are the primary source of income in their household, 55 percent have urgent food needs, and 36 percent have contracted or are an individual at high risk of contracting COVID-19.
Leadership Development: This year we focused on refining and improving our existing set of programs and trainings. Due to COVID-19 we moved all our programs online which actually led to a significant increase in attendance and participation. We did pilot a new program called the Change Agent Journey that we plan to launch in 2021 as Network Delaware's signature leadership development program.
Civic Engagement: Due to COVID-19 we moved our regional Action Team model online which had the positive impact of better connecting people across the state. We now have teams in all three counties in Delaware. Also our Civic Action Alert program averaged between 1,000 and 1,500 people reviewing the alerts on a weekly basis.
