TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE PROGRAMS OF MERCY MEDICAL CENTER - CLINTON
THE FOCUS OF MERCY HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION - CLINTON (THE FOUNDATION) IS TO HELP THE MEDICAL CENTER PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF CARE, IN THE SAFEST ENVIRONMENT TO OUR PATIENTS, RESIDENTS, THEIR FAMILIES AND GUESTS, AND TO ACHIEVE THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE EXPERIENCE. GIFTS TO THE FOUNDATION ARE USED TO ESTABLISH OR ENHANCE PROGRAMS, IMPROVE OR BUILD FACILITIES AND PURCHASE EQUIPMENT THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNAVAILABLE DUE TO BUDGET CONSTRAINTS.FUNDS RAISED THIS YEAR HELPED TO COMPLETE THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE NEW LINEAR ACCELERATOR, THE MACHINE THAT TARGETS AND DESTROYS CANCER CELLS. THE AVAILABILITY OF THE ADVANCED MACHINE WILL ALLOW RADIATION THERAPY CANCER CARE TO CONTINUE TO BE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS IN THE BI-STATE AREA AND WILL EXPAND TREATMENT OPTIONS. A MAJOR PLANNED GIFT WAS RECEIVED FROM A DONOR WHO HAD PREVIOUSLY SERVED AN ACTIVE ROLE ON THE FOUNDATION AND HOSPITAL BOARDS AND WILL BE USED TO ADVANCE HEALTH CARE AT MERCYONE CLINTON. MEMORIAL GIFTS TO MERCYONE HOSPICE HELP TO MAKE THE HOSPICE MUSIC PROGRAM POSSIBLE, A SERVICE THAT BRINGS THE GIFT OF MUSIC TO PATIENTS IN A VARIETY OF SETTINGS. WITH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, A MERCYONE CLINTON COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATION-WIDE RESILIENCY EFFORTS, PURCHASE EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES AND PROVIDE EMERGENCY FINANCIAL RELIEF FOR COLLEAGUES AT MERCYONE CLINTON.$23,125 IN SCHOLARSHIPS WAS AWARDED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR TO THOSE PURSUING EDUCATION IN HEALTH CARE FIELDS.PLEASE VISIT THE WEBSITE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:WWW.MERCYONE.ORG/CLINTON/GIVING/
