Organizations Filed Purposes: TO UNITE PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE A SOCIETY FREE FROM SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND TO MEET THE DIVERSE NEEDS OF SURVIVORS. THE ORGANIZATION CONNECTS SEXUAL ASSAULT AGENCIES ACROSS THE STATE AND HELPS PROVIDE RESOURCES, TOOLS, AND TRAINING TO ADVOCATES (SEE SCH O) WHO SERVE SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE. THE ORGANIZATION HAS 24 MEMBER PROGRAMS IN IOWA THAT PROVIDE SERVICES DIRECTLY TO SEXUAL ASSAULT SURVIVORS. AS PART OF THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION, IT FOCUSES ON IMPROVING THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE TO SEXUAL ASSAULT SURVIVORS AND SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES TO PREVENT SEXUAL VIOLENCE BEFORE IT OCCURS.

UNITE PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE A SOCIETY FREE FROM SEXUAL VIOLENCE & MEET THE DIVERSE NEEDS OF SURVIVORS.

VICTIM SERVICES SUPPORT PROGRAM - FUNDED THROUGH THE CRIME VICTIM ASSISTANCE DIVISION OF THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, INCLUDING FEDERAL AND STATE FUNDING COMPONENTS. THIS PROGRAM SUPPORTS ADVOCATE CERTIFICATION TRAINING AND CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINING, SUPPORTS A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF STAFF SALARIES FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS, CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL SURVEY OF DIRECTORS AND ADVOCATES, PROVIDES INTENSIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PROGRAMS, AND ENHANCES COMMUNICATION AND FEEDBACK WITH SEXUAL ABUSE COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMS STATE-WIDE.

NATIONAL RESOURCE SHARING PROJECT - PROVIDED ONGOING COMPREHENSIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO STATE AND TERRETORIAL SEXUAL ASSAULT COALITIONS THROUGH TARGETED INDIVIDUALIZED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, SITE VISITS, PEER MONITORING, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL CONFERENCE CALLS AND MEETINGS, NEWSLETTERS, WEB SITES AND OTHER METHODS. THIS PROGRAM IS FUNDED THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN (OVW).

ENHANCED VICTIM SAFETY IN CASES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND STALKING IN RURAL AREAS BY ENCOURAGING COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS AMONG CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES, VICTIM SERVICE PROVIDERS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO RESPOND TO THOSE CRIMES. UNDER THIS PROGRAM, IOWACASA SUPPORTED RURAL SARTS AND IMPROVED SERVICES TO VICTIMS LATER IN LIFE. THE GRANT FOR THIS PROGRAM ARE FUNDED DIRECTLY BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN (OVW).
