IOWA INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM - THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES. THE PROGRAM ASSISTED FAMILIES WHOSE INCOMES WERE AT OR BELOW TWICE THE FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES WHO WERE AFFECTED BY SEVERE WEATHER UNDER THE GOVERNOR'S DISASTER DECLARATION. FAMILIES APPLIED FOR A MAXIMUM OF $5,000 ASSISTANCE AT THE AREA COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF IOWA. THE ORGANIZATION DISBURSED FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF 3,974,419 TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES FOR DISTRIBUTION TO ELIGIBLE FAMILIES.
TENANT BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE- THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE IOWA FINANCE AUTHORITY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE WITH RENT, SECURITY AND UTILITIY DEPOSITS TO HELP IOWA HOUSEHOLDS AFFORD HOUSING COSTS. HOUSEHOLDS APPLIED FOR ASSISTANCE AT THE AREA COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF IOWA. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2019, THE ORGANIZATION DISBURSED FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF 631,362 TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES FOR DISTRIBUTION TO ELIGIBLE LANDLORDS
HOME ENERGY SAVERS PROGRAM - PROGRAM PROVIDES ENERGY EFFICIENCY SERVICES TO IPL CUSTOMERS WHO ARE LOW INCOME RESIDENTS OF IOWA AND PROVIDES WEATHERIZATION SERVICES TO LOW INCOME CUSTOMERS IN THE SERVICE AREA. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTMEBER 30, 2019, THE ORGANIZATION DISBURSED FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF 395,639 TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES TO PAY FOR THE WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM SERVICES.
