Organizations Filed Purposes: The Minburn Community Betterment Group mission is to improve the Minburn community and the life of its citizens, while preserving the history and culture of its past.

MCBG and the City of Minburn have been working to preserve, restore, and renovate a 100 plus year old brick train Depot. This Depot is now a trail head for the Raccoon River Valley Bike trial and a cafe. MCBG received a grant in the form of a historic preservation tax credit from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs. The entire grant was then used to pay down the loan on the renovations of the Depot. The renovated Depot benefits all citizens of Minburn by preserving this important historical building, as well as the thousands of users of the Raccoon River Valley Bike Trial by providing a safe and welcoming stop along the trail.

The Minburn Community Betterment Group sponsored three summer concerts available for free to any citizens of the community.
