Therapy: Therapy is a psychological form of treatment for mental illnesses, and for emotional or behavioral health conditions. Therapy is provided on the basis of a diagnosable medical need,according to the criteria outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. Therapy is provided on an individual level, family or systemic level, and in groups of people with like situations or conditions. The clinicians who work at Grace C Mae Advocate Center are highly-trained professionals, including certified play therapists (for treatment of young children), and trauma specialists who treat people with serious emotional disturbances (i.e., war veterans, suicide survivors, etc.). Therapy is always performed by licensed master's level clinicians, and clinical supervision is provided through oversight and monitoring,case consultation, and through raw supervision (observation-based supervision).
Training: Provide training for employees and non-employees in various therapeutic sciences.
