EDUCATIONALLEN COLLEGE IS AN ACCREDITED, PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT, MULTI-PURPOSE COLLEGE FOR NURSING AND HEALTH SCIENCES. TO PROVIDE GENERAL EDUCATION COURSES, ALLEN COLLEGE HAS DEVELOPED PARTNERSHIPS WITH MANY COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN IOWA. THE AFFILIATION BETWEEN THESE INSTITUTIONS WILL MAXIMIZE THE STUDENTS' LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES BY COMBINING THE STRENGTH OF ALLEN COLLEGE'S CLINICAL COMPONENT WITH THE TRADITIONAL COLLEGE ENVIRONMENT. ALLEN COLLEGE HAS NINE PROGRAMS AND 1 MINOR AVAILABLE: DOCTORATE OF NURSE PRACTITIONER (DNP), DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (ED.D.), MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (MSN), MASTER OF SCIENCE IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY (MS IN OT), BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN), ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE IN RADIOGRAPHY (ASR), DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHY (DMS), MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE (MLS), PUBLIC HEALTH (PH) AND POPULATION HEALTH MINOR.DURING THE FALL 2019 TERM, ALLEN COLLEGE HAD A TOTAL OF 655 STUDENTS ENROLLED WITH THE BREAKDOWN AMONG PROGRAMS AS FOLLOWS: 14 DNP STUDENTS ENROLLED, 8 ED.D STUDENTS ENROLLED, 225 MSN STUDENTS ENROLLED, 70 MS IN OT STUDENTS ENROLLED, 280 BSN STUDENTS ENROLLED, 31 ASR STUDENTS ENROLLED, 13 DMS STUDENTS ENROLLED, 7 MLS STUDENTS ENROLLED, 3 PH STUDENTS ENROLLED, AND 4 MI STUDENTS ENROLLED. ALLEN COLLEGE COMPLIES WITH THOSE LAWS WHICH FORBID DISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF RACE, RELIGION, COLOR, SEX, MARITAL STATUS, AGE, NATIONAL ORIGIN, VETERAN STATUS, DISABILITIES, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, OR GENDER IDENTITY IN ADMINISTRATION OF ITS ADMISSIONS POLICIES, EDUCATIONAL POLICIES, SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOAN PROGRAMS, AND OTHER PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS. SCHOLARSHIPSALLEN COLLEGE PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO ITS STUDENTS BASED ON ACADEMIC, SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE CRITERIA THAT ARE ESTABLISHED IN PART BY DONORS WHO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS FOR THESE TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS. A SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE IS USED TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY AND RECOMMEND RECIPIENTS.
