THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS FIVE HISTORICAL BUILDINGS IN WILLIAMSBURG, IA WITH A COLLECTION OF HISTORICAL PHOTOS, ARTICLES AND ARTIFACTS WHICH ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WITHOUT CHARGE.
THE ORGANIZATION OWNS A BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN WILLIAMSBURG, IOWA THAT HAS SIGNIFICANCE TO THE TOWN AND IS USED FOR A VARIETY OF PURPOSES BY THE CITY OF WILLIAMSBURG AND ITS RESIDENTS. THE DOWNTOWN BUILDING HOUSES A COLLECTION OF HISTORIC ARTIFACTS THAT IS ON DISPLAY FOR THE PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OWNS A HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT HOME, A ONE ROOM SCHOOL HOUSE, AND A TRAIN DEPOT THAT ARE DISPLAYED TOGETHER AS A HISTORICAL EXHIBIT FOR PUBLIC ENJOYMENT. IN 2018, THE ORGANIZATION BUILT A PUBLIC PLAYGROUND, BATHROOMS, AND PICNIC SHELTER ON PARK LAND PROVIDED BY THE CITY WHICH IS NOW NEAR COMPLETION AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. IN ADDITION TO ITS EXISTING EXHIBITS, THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED AND BEGAN RENOVATING A HISTORIC DRUG STORE IN DOWNTOWN WILLIAMSBURG DURING 2018. THE EXPENSES ABOVE ARE ALL RELATED TO THE OWNERSHIP, OCCUPANCY, AND USE OF THESE SPACES.
