The Social Innovation Laboratory (SIL) was awarded a Competitive Sexual Risk Avoidance Education grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. As part of this two-year project named 'The Kansas Better Futures Expansion Project", SIL is making the Love Notes-Sexual Risk Avoidance (Love Notes-SRA) materials and supplemental resources available to students enrolled in Family and Consumer Science classes in the state of Kansas in cooperation with the Kansas Chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.

The Oklahoma Better Futures Project (OKBFP) seeks to work in partnership with Family and Consumer Sciences teachers across Oklahoma to bring proven, evidence-based curricula to classrooms in high-risk communities that will prepare participating teachers to achieve positive results in relationship education. The Oklahoma Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (OK-FCCLA) in collaboration with the Social Innovation Laboratory (SIL) is offering Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) teachers the opportunity to receive free training and continuing education from The Dibble Institute using their evidenced-based curriculum Love Notes SRA and Relationship Smarts Plus 4.0. In addition, participating teachers* would receive free workbooks and supplies for their classes and $500 to spend on promoting positive youth development initiatives in their classrooms and reduce the rates of teen pregnancy in Oklahoma communities.

That Pop-up Restaurant is an innovative social program that offers free meals to all Chase County residents between the ages of 1-18. While there are specific criteria that a summer feeding program must meet, that doesn't mean the food has to be bland and boring. TPUR's program format provides quality food options that taste good and are presented in an environment free of the social stigmas that are typically associated with summer feeding programs.
