THE FINNUP FOUNDATION TRUST WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1977 BY SIBLINGS FREDERICK FINNUP AND ISABEL FINNUP, WHO CARRIED ON THE LEGACY OF GENEROSITY THAT WAS MODELED BY THEIR FATHER, GEORGE FINNUP, AND THEIR GRANDFATHER, FREDERICK FINNUP. THE FINNUP FAMILY'S INTEREST IN FAMILIES, YOUTH, EDUCATION, AND CONSERVATION IS EXPRESSED THROUGH THE GIFTS TO MANY ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY.
WE ANNUALLY DISTRIBUTE 100% OF FUNDS IN EXCESS OF OUR TRUST PRINCIPAL TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.
THE FINNUP FAMILY'S INTEREST IN FAMILIES, YOUTH, EDUCATION, AND CONSERVATION IS EXPRESSED THROUGH GIFTS TO MANY ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY. DURING 2019, THE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTED $918,424 TO 44 CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN KANSAS BASED ON DISTRIBUTABLE INCOME RESULTING FROM 2018 OPERATIONS. FOR 2020, THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD OF TRUSTEES HAS AUTHORIZED $904,257 IN SIMILAR DISTRIBUTIONS BASED ON THE RESULTS OF 2019 OPERATIONS.ALSO, IN 2019 THE FOUNDATION COLLABORATED WITH THE WESTERN KANSAS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE A FINANCIAL FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP FOR CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE GARDEN CITY, KANSAS AREA AT A COST OF $780.
