TO HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN ACHIEVE AND MAINTAIN PERMANENT HOUSING
The programs offered by Family Promise of Lawrence now expand services for Prevention - Shelter and Stabilization. All programs are designed to help families with children return to housing and stabilize housing security once rehoused. The census of families served in each of our programs in 2019 were: 29 families in Rotation shelter, 24 in Temporary Housing, 72 in Program 515 and more than 100 families through the Graduate Supports program, which is designed to directly address recidivism rates. 104 non-duplicated families were served in 2019, and 20% of families served participated in more than one of our major programs. The 104 non-duplicated families were comprised of 357 individuals. 64% of those served were children. Including our graduate stabilization program, more than 600 people were served through Family Promise of Lawrence in 2019. 91% of the families who graduate into housing remain housed after a 2 year tracking period. Throughout 2019 more than 13,000 meals were served and 132,628 bed nights of shelter were provided.
