Organizations Filed Purposes:
Mission statement updated at annual meeting (July 2020) to read: The Leavenworth Soccer Association (LSA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization committed to the youth of our community. Our goal is to promote, coordinate, and administer the game of soccer within Leavenworth, Kansas and the surrounding communities with emphasis on developing skills and a love for the game. To achieve this mission LSA programs include: (1) Recreational youth soccer to include the creation and continue the development of soccer facilities, (2) Recreational adult soccer, (3) Competitive program, (4) Tournaments, (5) Summer Camps, and 6) Coach and Referee Development.
Competitive Program in Fall 2019 outdoor had 7 teams and winter Futsal seasons had 11 teams. Unfortunately the spring 2020 season was cancelled due to Covid-19 and payments already paid to spring soccer league were not refunded to club or credited to players until Fall 2020 in our new fiscal year.
Recreational Program in Fall 2019 had 213 youth registered and they had a full season of games. Unfortunately the Spring 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID-19 and $14,489.90 was processed back to families of 253 registered players.
Adult program did not have active registrations for this year due to Covid.
