Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide a Christian-based comprehensive residential treatment program for hurting teens with the ultimate goal of family restoration.
Kansas City House of Hope is affiliated with National House of Hope and uses a proven model, which has produced a high rate of completion nationwide. Responsibility is earned and tested as the girls work through multiple program phases. Upon completion of orientation, the teen moves into a three-phase program that rewards better choices during an average stay of 9-12 months. Residents participate in individual and group counseling sessions weekly with a licensed counselor. House of Hope provides a loving, stable family environment in which residents are expected to accept responsibility, submit to authority and relate effectively to peers and adults. This is supported through intensive group, family and individual counseling and spiritual guidance designed to heal fractured family relationships. Daily devotions, prayer and scripture memorization are used to inspire spiritual development. Hope Academy is the educational component of House of Hope Kansas City. Our goal is to provide education in a safe, structured, and loving environment. All residents must attend school Monday-Friday and all effort will be made to maintain academic progress during their residence at House of Hope Kansas City. Instruction will be individualized in order to meet the unique needs of each student. Emphasis will be placed on personal goals and individual achievement rather than competition between students. We believe that school is also a place to learn and practice respect, personal management skills and values.
