Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Ethnic Enrichment Commission aspires to foster understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, to preserve Ethnic heritage, to encourage Ethnic identity, and to coordinate and facilitate Ethnic programs.
To promote understanding of culture diversity.
Ethnic Festival: The festival was hosted in August 2019. Patrons sample authentic ethnic cuisine, entertainment, and cultural performances. Ethnic crafts were available for purchase as well. Ethnic Enrichment Cultural Council (EECC) has been holding this event for the past 40 years. The event attracts between 30,000 to 45,000 people annually.
Diplomatic Ball: EECC hosted the ball in April 2019. It is intended to foster understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity in the Greater Kansas City area. Guests enjoy ethnic cuisine and cultural performances
Outreach program: This program promotes diversity, encourages ethnic identity, and preserves ethnic heritage to all corners of Greater Kansas City. The diversity of our members contributes to the mutual understanding and cooperation among all people touched by our outreach programs.
