TECHNOLOGYA SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF KPTS' MISSION IS DERIVED THROUGH THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY. KPTS BEGAN BROADCASTING ON ITS NEW DIGITAL TRANSMITTER MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2009 AT 10:00 A.M. A LOW POWER BROADCAST WAS ADDED IN THE WICHITA AREA TO IMPROVE RECEPTION IN THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE COVERAGE AREA BEGINNING NOVEMBER 10, 2013. A NEW MICROWAVE STL SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED IN FISCAL YEAR 2016. SERVER TECHNOLOGY AND AUTOMATION UPGRADES WERE MADE IN FISCAL YEAR 2018.
