To provide vital support services to the needy and poor of the Boyd County area without prejudice to race, color, religion, sex or creed as funded by donations and grants received from the churches, individuals,
CAReS provides case management and emergency assistance to Boyd County KY clients. CAReS provides services on a very limited basis to Greenup County KY in partnership with shelter of hope. As funds are available assistance is given with rent or utilities once a year. Case managers can give assistance with emergency food, medications, diapers, person care and baby items every 3 months as funds and item are available. Accoding to charity tracker database, clients of the neighborhood are nearly all low income to extremely low income households. CAReS is funded by donations from local convenant churches, local businesses and foundations, grants and fundraisers. During the Christmas season, CAReS leads a Christmas program that provides gifts and food to the needy.
