Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Friends of the Rose Garden Home Mission share the love of Jesus while providing a haven of hope and free non-judgmental assistance by supporting the work of the Franciscan Daughters of Mary. The Friends assist the Franciscan Daughters of Mary by raising funds for the general operations of the Mission and its services, including the operation and maintenance of the property that houses the Rose Garden and Center for Hope and Healing. Like the Sisters, the Friends are dedicated to the right to life from conception to natural death for all people and to improving the quality of life of the less fortunate in the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati areas.
The "Friends" provide the focal point and venue for the community based public service of The Rose Garden Mission. During the 2020 year, the "Friends" furnished the buildings that were necessary to fulfill the "Mission and "Daughters" goals of serving the poor. Program Service 1 paid for all utilities to maintain these buildings to include gas and electric, telephone, waste removal, and water and sanitation. These services allowed the Franciscan Daughters to provide material and spiritual support to pregnant women, needy families, the homeless, handicapped and the elderly. Even during this pandemic year when the Mission had to make significant changes to it's operation, 23,000 visits were made by the needy in 2020.
In Program Service 2 the "Friends" paid for turkeys, toys, and other items to help the Franciscan Daughters provide those items to needy families to celebrate the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. 750 families at Thanksgiving and 375 children and their families at Christmas were assisted in 2020.
In Program Service 3 the "Friends" assisted in the purchase of supplies to provide the daily material and spiritual support to the 23,000 needy visitors to the Mission in 2020. This consisted mainly of diapers, formula, clothes, and food to support the primary focus of the Mission to assist pregnant women and their young families.
