Organizations Filed Purposes:
To make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
Youth leadership development for students enrolled in agricultural education courses.
State FFA Convention provides an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills. The Convention includes a number of State Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events, recognition for students who have excelled throughout the year, motivational speakers, a business session for the state organization, and many other activities focused on recognizing members.
Grants are given to members to establish livestock based supervised agricultural experience programs. Funds for this program come from the Championship Drive at the Kentucky State Fair.
State Officer Expenses include funds spent to train and support the twelve State FFA Officers. The officers represent nearly 14,000 members across Kentucky. They provide leadership for the state organization and provide support to local chapters and members. Expenses include meals, lodging, transportation, etc. for trainings as well as mileage and other expenses incurred by officers while traveling across the state.
