MARY BRECKINRIDGE ARH HOSPITAL PROVIDES LESLIE AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES AN ABUNDANCE OF HEALTHCARE AND COMMUNITY-ORIENTED SERVICES THROUGH ITS HOSPITAL, CLINICS AND HOME HEALTH OPERATIONS AS WELL AS COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES. LOCATED IN AN AREA WITH A LARGE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED POPULATION, MARY BRECKINRIDGE ARH PROVIDED OVER $457K IN UNCOMPENSATED CARE IN THE PAST YEAR ALONE. IN EFFORTS TO PROMOTE THE BENEFITS OF PREVENTATIVE CARE TO GOOD HEALTH, THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED $23,464.44 IN COMMUNITY BENEFITS THROUGH 151 COMMUNITY EVENTS THAT WERE ATTENDED BY OVER 1,000 PEOPLE LAST YEAR. IN ADDITION, THE HOSPITAL GAVE BACK TO LESLIE COUNTY RESIDENTS THROUGH ITS ANNUAL COMMUNITY APPRECIATION PICNIC WHERE HEALTH INFORMATION AND SCREENINGS WERE PROVIDED AND FREE LUNCH WAS SERVED TO NEARLY 1,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE HOSPITAL ALSO PROMOTED HEALTHY HEART EDUCATION ACTIVITIES WITH THE LOCAL SCHOOL SYSTEM STAFF AND STUDENTS. THE HOSPITAL ALSO HOSTED ITS ANNUAL CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY IN THE HOSPITAL LOBBY. AS PART OF THE EVENT, EMPLOYEES DONATE ENOUGH MONEY TO PURCHASE GIFTS FOR EVERY CHILD WHO ATTENDED THE CELEBRATION. ADDITIONALLY, MARY BRECKINRIDGE ARH PARTNERED TO PROVIDE A HEALTH FAIR IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LOCAL SENIOR CENTER AND PARTICIPATED IN A COMMUNITY HALLOWEEN TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT. BARBOURVILLE ARH PROVIDES KNOX AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES AN ABUNDANCE OF HEALTHCARE AND COMMUNITY-ORIENTED SERVICES THROUGH ITS HOSPITAL, AND CLINIC OPERATIONS AS WELL AS COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES. LOCATED IN AN AREA WITH A LARGE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED POPULATION, BARBOURVILLE ARH PROVIDED NEARLY $5M IN UNCOMPENSATED CARE IN THE PAST YEAR ALONE. DURING THIS PAST YEAR, THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED $39,381.83 IN COMMUNITY BENEFITS THROUGH 378 EVENTS THAT SERVED OVER 4,000 AREA RESIDENTS. BARBOURVILLE ARH HAS WORKED TO EXPAND SERVICES THROUGH THE ADDITION OF SEVERAL NEW PROVIDERS AND SERVICES. THE HOSPITAL REGULARLY PROMOTES THE BENEFITS OF PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE THROUGH HEALTH FAIRS AND SCREENING EVENTS, INCLUDING ITS ANNUAL WOMEN'S HEALTH FAIR AND CONTINUES ITS EFFORTS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY EATING THROUGH ITS SPONSORSHIP OF THE KNOX COUNTY FARMERS MARKET. THE ARH OUR LADY OF THE WAY HOSPITAL IN MARTIN PROVIDES THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES AN ABUNDANCE OF HEALTHCARE AND COMMUNITY-ORIENTED SERVICES THROUGH ITS HOSPITAL, CLINICS AND HOME HEALTH OPERATIONS AS WELL AS COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES. LOCATED IN AN AREA WITH A LARGE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED POPULATION, ARH OUR LADY OF THE WAY PROVIDED NEARLY $7.5M IN UNCOMPENSATED CARE IN THE PAST YEAR ALONE. IN THE PAST YEAR ALONE THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED $104,972.78 IN COMMUNITY BENEFIT ACTIVITIES. MORE THAN 16,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED ACROSS 162 EVENTS THAT INCLUDED PROGRAMS SUCH AS: A SENIOR HEALTH FEST WHERE SENIOR CITIZENS WERE PROVIDED AN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM, FREE LUNCH, ENTERTAINMENT, AND FLU SHOTS; SEVERAL COMMUNITY HEALTHY HEART EDUCATION AND OUTREACH EVENTS; BREAST CANCER AWARENESS LUNCH AND LEARN AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH; PARTICIPATED IN NUMEROUS CAREER FAIRS; AND CONDUCTED MANY DIABETES EDUCATION ACTIVITIES.
