IN 2019 WOODSTOCK ANIMAL FOUNDATION WORKED TOWARD ITS GOAL OF MAKING EVERY PET A WANTED PET BY SPAYING AND NEUTERING 3,167 COMPANION ANIMALS AT ITS LEXINGTON, KY CLINIC LOCATION AND ITS MOBILE SURGERY CREW ALTERED AN ADDITIONAL 986 PETS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF KENTUCKY, PRIMARILY IN UNDER-SERVED RURAL COUNTIES. IN ADDITION, THE LEXINGTON CLINIC LOCATION PROVIDED LOW COST VETERINARY SERVICES, PRINCIPALLY SERVING LOWER INCOME FAMILIES, IN ORDER TO ALLEVIATE SUFFERING AND TO HELP KEEP THOSE PETS FROM BEING SURRENDERED TO LOCAL SHELTERS DUE TO THEIR FAMILIES' INABILITY TO PROVIDE THE MEDICAL CARE THEY NEED. WOODSTOCK ALSO FOUND HOMES FOR OVER 400 PETS IN 2019, THE MAJORITY OF WHOM HAD BEEN FACING EUTHANASIA IN RURAL SHELTERS.
