WOMEN IN THE PROGRAM WERE PROVIDED SKILLS TRAINING IN SEWING AND FULL-TIME JOB OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. IN FACT, THE MAJORITY OF THE ARTISANS WERE THE ONLY EARNERS IN THEIR FAMILIES! ANCHAL INCREASED ITS MARKET ACCESS FOR THE ARTISANS' TEXTILES. THE ARTISANS CREATED 21,087 PIECES, INCLUDING OVER 8,000 FACE MASKS IN 2020. THE WOMEN, NOW ARTISANS, CONTINUE TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS TO THEIR LIVES WITH THEIR INCREASED INCOME AND LEAD EMPOWERED LIVES. ALL ARTISANS HAVE A PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT AND EARN 30-100% HIGHER MONTHLY INCOME THAN BEFORE JOINING. 90% CAN NOW AFFORD HEALTH CARE. 65% PURCHASED THEIR PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: FIRST HOME OR MADE HOME IMPROVEMENTS. 100% ARE INVESTING IN THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION, RESULTING IN THE ELIMINATION OF INTER-GENERATIONAL PROSTITUTION FOR 550 CHILDREN.
