Organizations Filed Purposes: We are a sisterhood organization run by and for military to create friendships, share our stories in a safe space, and connect active duty and veteran women to healing resources in our community. "Mind, heart, and body wellness for all active duty and veteran women!"

ATHENA'S SISTERS IS AN ORGANIZATION FOR ALL MILITARY WOMEN TO USE REVOLUTIONARY EXPRESSIONS TO GROW IN DIGNITY AND HONOR. OUR MEMBERS EMPOWER THEMSELVES THROUGH A SISTERHOOD CREATED BY MIND, BODY, AND HEART HEALING. OUR ARTISTIC ADVOCACY IS BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF COURAGE.

Operation Harmony: Athena's Sisters partners with multiple community healing services and practitioners such as The Kentucky Center for the Arts - Arts in Healing Program and The Kentucky Holistic Nurse Association to provide a day of different healing methodologies for military women to experience. Some of the services we have provided are Reiki, aromatherapy, body talk, creative storytelling, drumming, acupuncture, and life coaching. The purpose of these workshops is military women to educate themselves on healing options available to them in their community and how they can gain access to the resources in a safe space.

Operation Legacy: Athena's Sisters organizes a weekend retreat of creative storytelling for military twice a year. At this retreat the participants share their stories through writing, performance arts, visual arts, story circles and other forms of sharing in a safe and confidential environment. This retreat is meant for military women to explore the ways they have shown resilience in so many aspects throughout their lives.

Monthly Meetings: Athena's Sisters meets twice a month. Both meetings include free children's art programming and dinner for all of our participants. The first meetings purpose is to educate military women and our families on healing resources available to us in the community. The second meeting is for military women to participate in an art project with each other led by a community artist.
