LALH is the leading publisher of books that advance the study and practice of American landscape architecture from gardens and parks to city plans. LALH books educate the public, motivating stewardship of significant places and the environment, and they inspire new designs that connect people with nature.
BOOKS: In April, two new LALH books were published in association with University of Georgia Press: The Greatest Beach: A History of Cape Cod National Seashore and Hare & Hare, Landscape Architects and City Planners.The Greatest Beach was celebrated at a reception and book signing at the Century Association, NYC, May 10.LALH signed a provisional agreement with Kevan Klosterwill for a book on Warren H. Mannings urban planning philosophies.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH: VIEW 2019 was published in September in an edition of 3,000. LALH was represented at Modernism Week in Palm Springs, CA, with a lecture and book signing of Ruth Shellhorn at Smoketree Ranch, February 24.D. Nadenicek and R. Karson presented Jack Dangermond with the Legacy Hero Award at the Esri Geodesign Summit in Redlands, CA, February 25.Melissa McGrain was awarded the 2019 Preservation Hero Award in NYC, May 10.
