To promote the interests of private, non government owned psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals and units; to promote the highest quality and cost effective care in those hospitals; and to improve the business climate for those hospitals.
Regular quarterly meetings were held by the Board of Directors and the membership to develop strategies to advance behavioral health care, with a focus on inpatient care. Approximately 60,000 patients benefited.
