WE WORK FOR COMMUNITY CONTROL OF THE LAND, DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT DISPLACEMENT, PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND SHARED NEIGHBORHOOD SPACES, CONSISTENT WITH THE CHINATOWN MASTER PLAN.

ROW HOUSE PRESERVATION ACQUIRED TWO HISTORIC BRICK ROW HOUSES, RECLAIMED FROM SHORT-TERM RENTAL USE, FOR PRESERVATION AS SEVEN PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP UNITS ON A COMMUNITY GROUND LEASE. LAUNCHED A ROW HOUSE PRESERVATION FUND AND A SUCCESSFUL PILOT DRIVE THAT RAISED OVER 170,000 IN PRIVATE DONATIONS TO LOWER PRICES OF PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE CONDOS TO SERVE LOW INCOME BUYERS.

PLANNING FOR A HEALTHY COMMUNITY LED A HEALTH LENS ANALYSIS AND PARTICIPATORY COMMUNITY PROCESS TO DRAFT AND RELEASE CHINATOWN MASTER PLAN 2020 IN PARALLEL TO AND AS A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CITY OF BOSTON'S OFFICIAL PLAN: DOWNTOWN BOSTON. INVOLVED MORE THAN 200 PARTICIPANTS AND FOUR PUBLIC COMMUNITY MEETINGS, AS WELL AS SMALLER FOCUS AND WORKING GROUPS AND RECOMMENDED IMPLEMENTATION PRIORITIES FOR A HISTORIC AND CULTURAL DISTRICT, HOUSING, PUBLIC REALM, MOBILITY, AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT.

COMMUNITY BUILDING AND COLLECTIVE GOVERNANCE IMPLEMENTED ACTIVITIES TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY FABRIC AND PILOT NEW APPROACHES TO COLLECTIVE GOVERNANCE OF SHARED RESOURCES SUCH AS A LOCAL ENERGY MICRO-GRID AND PUBLIC LAND. INVOLVED MORE THAN 300 RESIDENTS IN A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL, ENGAGEMENT, AND DECISION-MAKING ACTIVITIES. WORKED WITH A BROAD COALITION OF PARTNERS TO SECURE A HALF-YEAR EVICTION MORATORIUM DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND PLAYED A CORE ROLE IN NETWORKS FOR PEER LEARNING, SHARED RESOURCES AND COLLECTIVE ADVOCACY TO GROW THE COMMUNITY LAND TRUST MOVEMENT.
