Organizations Filed Purposes: OXFAM AMERICA IS AN INTERNATIONAL RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION THAT CREATES LASTING SOLUTIONS TO POVERTY, HUNGER, AND INJUSTICE. WITH INDIVIDUALS AND LOCAL GROUPS IN MORE THAN 80 COUNTRIES, OXFAM SAVES LIVES, HELPS PEOPLE OVERCOME POVERTY AND FIGHTS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE.

CREATE LASTING SOLUTIONS TO GLOBAL POVERTY, HUNGER, AND INJUSTICE.

SAVING LIVES - EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND PREPAREDNESS: OXFAM WORKS HAND IN HAND WITH LOCAL PARTNERS AND GOVERNMENTS TO SAVE LIVES IN EMERGENCIES AND BUILD RESILIENCE AGAINST FUTURE DISASTERS. IN AREAS WHERE PEOPLE ARE AT RISK DUE TO CONFLICT, NATURAL DISASTERS, OR PUBLIC HEALTH CRISES, OXFAM WORKS WITH LOCAL ACTORS TO STRENGTHEN WATER AND SANITATION SYSTEMS, SHARE VITAL PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION, PROVIDE EMERGENCY FOOD AND LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT, AND ADDRESS PROTECTION ISSUES SUCH AS VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. COUNTRIES AND REGIONS WHERE OXFAM FOCUSED EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND RESILIENCE EFFORTS LAST YEAR INCLUDE SUDAN, MOZAMBIQUE, SENEGAL, CENTRAL AMERICA, AND PUERTO RICO. OXFAM ALSO LAUNCHED A GLOBAL RESPONSE TO COVID-19 IN MARCH 2020 AND CONTINUES TO RESPOND TO THIS CRISIS IN 66 COUNTRIES.

CAMPAIGNING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE: OXFAM CAMPAIGNS TO CHANGE UNFAIR AND UNJUST POLICIES AND PRACTICES THAT EXACERBATE INEQUALITY AND KEEP PEOPLE TRAPPED IN POVERTY. WE FIGHT FOR EQUALITY, CLIMATE JUSTICE, GENDER JUSTICE, SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS, AND BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS AND DIGNITY IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE. WE CHALLENGE GOVERNMENTS, MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS, AND INTERNATIONAL ACTORS TO USE THEIR POWER TO IMPROVE PEOPLES' LIVES AND TO SHIFT POWER TO LOCAL AND COMMUNITY ACTORS.

PROGRAMS TO OVERCOME POVERTY AND INJUSTICE: OXFAM SUPPORTS LONG-TERM SOLUTIONS THAT ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF POVERTY AND INJUSTICE AND HELP PEOPLE BUILD BETTER FUTURES FOR THEMSELVES. WE PROVIDE GRANTS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL PARTNERS WORKING IN COMMUNITIES TO PROTECT LAND AND WATER RIGHTS, BUILD SOCIAL SAFETY NETS FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN POVERTY, STRENGTHEN FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL SYSTEMS, AND TRANSFORM CULTURAL GENDER NORMS SO THAT PEOPLE OF ALL GENDERS ARE TREATED EQUALLY, HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES TO SUCCEED, AND ARE ABLE TO LIVE FREE FROM VIOLENCE.
