TO EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY FACILITATE AND OVERSEE THE MASSACHUSETTS JUVENILE JUSTICE PAY FOR SUCCESS PILOT.
THE MASSACHUSETTS JUVENILE JUSTICE PAY FOR SUCCESS (PFS) INITIATIVE: THIS $28 MILLION PAY FOR SUCCESS PROJECT IS AN OVER TEN-YEAR INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO DECREASE RECIDIVISM RATES AND IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR HUNDREDS OF AT-RISK YOUNG MEN IN THE PROBATION SYSTEM OR LEAVING THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN MASSACHUSETTS. IN JANUARY 2014 THE PROJECT LAUNCHED, BRINGING TOGETHER AN EVIDENCE-BASED, HIGH PERFORMING PROVIDER OF SERVICES, ROCA, INC., FUNDERS RANGING FROM THE BOSTON FOUNDATION TO GOLDMAN SACHS, AND MULTIPLE STATE AGENCIES. THE MASSACHUSETTS PFS INITIATIVE WILL IMPROVE THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE BY PROVIDING INTENSIVE OUTREACH AND SERVICES TO HELP THEM LIVE HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE LIVES. IT WILL ALSO REDUCE CRIME, PROMOTE SAFER AND STRONGER COMMUNITIES AND SAVE TAXPAYER DOLLARS.
