YOUTH IN CUSTODY PRACTICE MODEL DEVELOPED WITH GEORGETOWN CJJR: INFORMED BY RESEARCH ON "WHAT WORKS" IN SERVING YOUTH IN CUSTODY, AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND THE FIELD'S PREEMINENT THINKING ON BEST PRACTICES, THE YOUTH IN CUSTODY PRACTICE MODEL (YICPM) INITIATIVE IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST STATE AND COUNTY JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL AGENCIES AND FACILITY PROVIDERS TO IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY APPROACH. CJCA STARTED ITS 3RD COHORT IN PROVIDING THIS MODEL TO THE JUVENILE JUSTICE FIELD.CJCA RECEIVES THESE FUNDS, ALONG WITH MEMBERSHIP DUES AND SPONSORSHIPS, TO PROVIDE THEIR EXPERTISE IN THE JUVENILE JUSTICE FIELD
