THE METHADONE MAINTENANCE TREATMENTS SUBSTITUTES ORAL METHADONE FOR STREET NARCOTICS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUALS WITH SHORT-TERM DETOXIFICATION AND AN EVENTUAL DRUG-FREE LIFE.
