TOGETHER WITH ABCD, PROVIDED ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD THROUGH A MONTHLY MOBILE FOOD PANTRY SERVING 35-40 FAMILIES A MONTH. LAUNCHED AN AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM TO PROVIDE 30 YOUTH WITH PERSONALIZED ACTIVITIES AND HOMEWORK HELP WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF TUTORS FROM BOSTON COLLEGE. SCHEDULED ON-SITE ACTIVITIES FOR YOUTH DURING SCHOOL VACATIONS. HOSTED 45 HEALTH AND WELLNESS FOCUSED EVENTS INCLUDING ZUMBA, YOGA AND WALKING GROUPS. INCREASED THE TECHNOLOGICAL LITERACY OF 22 RESIDENTS WHO GRADUATED FROM THE ON-SITE TECH GOES HOME PROGRAM. PARTNERED WITH COOKING MATTERS TO PROVIDE A 6-WEEK COURSE FOR 9 RESIDENTS WHO LEARNED ABOUT MAKING NUTRITIOUS MEALS ON A BUDGET. COORDINATED WITH MASSHOUSING'S TENANT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TAP) TO PROVIDE 14 RESIDENT-FOCUSED EVENTS, INCLUDING CANVAS PAINTING, HIP HOP WORKSHOP, AND FLOWER DESIGN WORKSHOP. HELD THE ANNUAL WINTER CELEBRATION AND END-OF-SUMMER BLOCK PARTY, WHERE BACKPACKS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO 52 YOUTH RESIDENTS.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. ENCOURAGED A HEALTHY, AFFORDABLE, EQUITABLE AND ENGAGED ALLSTON BRIGHTON BY STRENGTHENING OUR WORK WITH LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESIDE IN AND BECOME LEADERS IN THE ALLSTON BRIGHTON COMMUNITY. COORDINATED EVENTS, WORKING GROUPS, AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS ATTENDED BY OVER 500 RESIDENTS. ORGANIZED AND LED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MINI-TRAININGS AND NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION SESSIONS ON IMPACTING THE ARTICLE 80 ZONING REVIEW PROCESS. FACILITATED THE SECOND "COMMUNITY PLANNING AND YOU" TRAINING TO EDUCATE RESIDENTS ON THE BOSTON ZONING CODE AND TO HIGHLIGHT OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESIDENTS TO VOICE CONCERNS REGARDING THE IMPACTS OF LARGE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS AND ADVOCATE FOR COMMUNITY BENEFITS. THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACTION COMMITTEE WAS ACTIVELY INVOLVED WITH THE CITYWIDE EFFORT TO STRENGTHEN THE CITY OF BOSTON'S INCLUSIONARY DEVELOPMENT POLICY, AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING POLICY FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENTS WITH 10 OR MORE UNITS. COORDINATED A COMMUNITY MEETING WHERE THREE BOSTON UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS PRESENTED THEIR RESEARCH ON THE PARTICIPATION GAP - THE DISPARITIES THAT EXIST AMONG THE VIEWPOINTS AND OPINIONS EXPRESSED AT ZONING AND PLANNING MEETINGS - AND SUGGESTED WAYS TO REDUCE BARRIERS TO PARTICIPATION AND ENCOURAGE A MORE DIVERSE RANGE OF VOICES; 65 PEOPLE ATTENDED AND 350 VIEWED ONLINE. WITH THE HELP OF NUMEROUS NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATIONS, ORGANIZED TWO CANDIDATE FORUMS, ONE FOR THE SEVEN CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR THE DISTRICT 9 SEAT ON THE BOSTON CITY COUNCIL AND ONE FOR CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR THE FOUR AT-LARGE SEATS; OVER 200 PEOPLE ATTENDED AND 1,000 PEOPLE VIEWED THE FACEBOOK LIVESTREAM. TO STABILIZE THE NORTH ALLSTON/NORTH BRIGHTON NEIGHBORHOODS BY INCREASING OWNER-OCCUPANCY, THE PROGRAM ACQUIRED 1 PROPERTY, NEARED RENOVATION COMPLETION ON 3 UNITS, AND SOLD 1 HOME TO OWNER OCCUPANTS. CONTINUED TO PARTICIPATE IN AND SERVE AS FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE ALLSTON BRIGHTON HEALTH COLLABORATIVE, FORMED TO WORK ACROSS SECTORS TO IMPROVE OVERALL COMMUNITY HEALTH.
