ENGAGEMENT OF CONSULTANTS AND PLANNING WORKSHOPS: DURING THE SUMMER AND FALL OF 2013, AWLU PROJECT ENGAGED CONSULTING SERVICES PROVIDER ACCENTURE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIPS (ADP) TO ASSIST AWLU PROJECT IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AWLU. ADP'S SERVICES INCLUDED: (1) MARKET ANALYSIS OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION SPACE IN MALAYSIS AND AWLU'S MARKET POSITIONING (2) FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT OF AWLU, (3) RECOMMENDED ORGANIZATIONAL AND GOVERNANCE SET-UP OF AWLU PROJECT AND AWLU, AND (4) ASSISTANCE IN ADMINISTRATIVE SET -UP OF AWLU PROJECT . IN OCTOBER 2013 , ADP ORGANIZED PLANNING WORKSHOPS FOR AWLU PROJECT MEMBERS TO DISCUSS AND MAKE DECISIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE MATTERS SET FORTH IN FOREGOING CLAUSES (1) TO (4)

AWLU PROJECT ENGAGED MILA DEVENPORT DURING 2013 : AS A PROJECT COORDINATOR. THE SCOPE OF MILA'S ASSISTANCE INCLUDED (1) DRAFTING AND MANAGEMENT OF DOCUMENTS RELATING TO FUNDRAISING, DEVELOPMENT AND THE APPLICATION FOR THE LICENSE FOR AWLU (2) COMMUNICATIONS WITH INTERNAL MEMBERS AND EXTERNAL PARTIES, INCLUDING THROUGH MARKETING MATERIALS, NEWSLETTERS AND WEBSIDE, (3) BACK OFFICE AND LOGISTICS FOR AWLU PROJECT, AND (4) OTHER DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES INCLUDING RESEARCH, LAND SITE VISITS AND ASSISTANCE AT EVENTS. THE ACTIVITIES OF BARBARA HOU, THE PRESIDENT OF AWLU PROJECT, INCUDED (1) SPEAKING AT EVENTS AND NETWORKING TO RAISE AWARENESS OF AWLU PROJECT AND FOR FUNDRAISING, (2) MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL MEMBERS AND EXTERNAL PARTIES, AND (3) ATTENTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONS OF AWLU.

DURING 2013 AWLU PROJECT MEMBERS ENGAGED IN DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL FOR DEVLOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING (1) ONE-ON- ONE MEETINGS WITH POTENTIAL DONORS (2) TALKS AT SMALL FUNDRAISING EVENTS, (3) ATTENDANCE AT RELEVANT SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES ( INCLUDING THE 4TH GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT IN KUALA LUMPUR) AT WHICH AWLU PROJECT MEMBERS COULD NETWORK AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THE AWLU PROJECT
