Organizations Filed Purposes: The principal purpose of the Organization is to improve patient safety and healthcare quality by using simulation for education, training, and research. The Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) provides world-class healthcare simulation for a broad spectrum of providers and applications. Hands-on simulation helps teams and individuals develop preparedness and insight that is best learned and practiced in realistic conditions. CMS was one of the world's first healthcare simulation centers and continues to be a global leader in the field. CMS is approved by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level 1-Accredited Educational Institute, and is endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).

The principal purpose of the Organization is to improve patient safety and health care quality by using simulation for education, training, and research.

During the year the Organization's most significant activities were as follows:Simulation Instructor Training: The Organization offered training to directors, principal faculty, and instructors of current or prospective simulation programs. Clinical Training: The Organization offered courses designed for individuals and teams across the health care field. Physicians, nurses, health care professionals, educators, and leaders all benefited from expanding their skills and collaboration through simulation. The Organization regularly schedules courses in anesthesiology, obstetrics and surgery environments. Leadership and Management Training: The Organization also provided Health care Adventures (HCA) courses which focused on leadership and management teams across the health care field.
