The mission of the Buttonwoods Museum / Haverhill Historical Society is to collect and preserve history, and to educate the community about Greater Haverhill's past and culture.

Educational Programs - Haverhill Historical Society offers various programs to schools, families, homeschoolers, and other groups both in-house and off-site regarding the rich history of the Greater Haverhill area. We also offer walk-in tours for the general public. All visitors are given a tour of the historic property and the opportunity to view the permanent exhibit.
Exhibits & Collections - Haverhill Historical Society maintains a number of historic artifacts relating to the history of Greater Haverhill, which we have carefully preserved and documented and continue to care for.
