WIDGB OFFERS A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT. MEMBERS HELP ONE ANOTHER DEVELOP AND IMPROVE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND FOSTER A CLIMATE WHICH PROMOTES PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT.
In October 2018, Women in Development of Greater Boston (WIDGB) kicked off its 39th year with the first of 2 (two) keynote programs for the year. In total 180 members and 257 non-members attended these programs during the year. Topics were all designed to enhance different areas of knowledge for women who work in fundraising/development in a variety of non-profit organizations in the community.In addition to the keynote events, WID also sponsored eleven Brown Bag programs attended by 492 WID members and 390 non-members. These programs are designed to enhance different types of fundraising skills of those who attend. There was one member only event attended by 45 members. The Member Services committee also sponsored (2) new member breakfast programs formally welcoming new members to WID. Our program year concluded with the WID Annual Meeting in June 2019.
