The New Bedford Festival Theater is dedicated to producing the best of musical theater, using quality production techniques and engaging the best local talent and theatrical artists. The Theater is a cultural resource with a goal of enriching the local community and region.
The New Bedford Festival Theatre had planned to produce at least one musical during its 2020 season - offering internships and apprenticships for students in the performing arts, as well as employing professional theater artists, thereby enhancing the cultural experiences of audiences principally from cities and towns in the Southcoast region of Massachusetts. Unfortunately the Covid-19 pandemic put a hold on those musical performance until a later date when the Theatre and its audience can function in a safe environment.
