To provide affordable space for artists, performers and educators. To offer arts programming in Northampton Massachusetts.
ArtPlay for youth ages 6-12. Encourages kids to think of themselves as fundamentally creative beings with a fun interactive interdisciplinary approach. The program connects youth to local teaching artists and provides space and structure for youth-initiated performances and exhibitions. Kids have a chance to experiment with dance, music, drama, visual arts, collaborative play and more.
The inaugural Youth Peformance Festival (YPF) showcased the work of young artists (8-18 yrs old) in the disciplines of theater, dance, music, poetry and video. Young artists were paired with mentor artists in their field, and over the course of 6 weekends the mentor artists guided the young artists in the creation of original work that was shared with the greater community during a weekend of performances.
NCFA offers weekly community arts classes throughout the year.
