Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE CAPE COD PILGRIM MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION IS A PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT, EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION THAT SHALL MAINTAIN THE PILGRIM MEMORIAL MONUMENT, BUILDINGS, AND LAND TO ACCOMMODATE LIBRARIES AND COLLECTIONS. ITS MISSION ALSO COMMEMORATES THE HISTORY OF THE MAYFLOWER PILGRIMS, CULMINATING WITH THEIR ARRIVAL AND STAY IN PROVINCETOWN HARBOR AND SIGNING THE MAYFLOWER COMPACT. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO COLLECTS, PRESERVES, INTERPRETS, RESEARCHES, EXHIBITS, AND PUBLISHES ARCHIVAL HISTORICAL MATERIALS COMMEMORATING IMPORTANT EVENTS OF PROVINCETOWN HISTORY.
THE CAPE COD PILGRIM MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION (THE "ASSOCIATION") IS A PRIVATE NON-PROFIT, EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO MAINTAIN THE PILGRIM MONUMENT AND PROVINCETOWN MUSEUM BUILDINGS AND LAND (THE "PMPM") TO ACCOMODATE ITS LIBRARIES AND COLLECTIONS. THE ASSOCIATIONS MISSION IS ALSO TO COMMEMORATE THE HISTORY OF THE MAYFLOWER PILGRIMS, CULMINATING IN THEIR ARRIVAL AND STAY IN PROVINCETOWN HARBOR AND THE SIGNING OF THE MAYFLOWER COMPACT. FURTHER, THE MISSION INCLUDES THE COLLECTION, PRESERVATION,RESEARCH,EXHIBITION AND PUBLICATION OF ARCHIVAL MATERIALS ON ALL ASPECTS OF PROVINCETOWN HISTORY,INCLUDING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE WAMPANOAG AND OTHER INDIGENOUS PEOPLES WHOSE PRESENCE IN THE REGION PREDATES THE ARRIVAL OF THE MAYFLOWER, THE RISE OF THE WHALING INDUSTRY, THE ADVENT OF THE PORTUGUESE FISHING COMMUNITY, AND THE EVOLUTION OF PROVINCETOWN AS A CENTER OF TOLERANCE, ART, AND THEATER IN THE 20TH CENTURY, INCLUDING THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY IN THAT EVOLUTION.
THE CAPE COD PILGRIM MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION OPERATES THE PILGRIM MONUMENT AND PROVINCETOWN MUSEUM FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMMEMORATING THE LANDING OF THE PILGRIMS AT PROVINCETOWN AND THE SIGNING OF THE MAYFLOWER COMPACT, AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF COLLECTING, EXHIBITING, AND PUBLISHING MATERIALS RELATING TO THE HISTORY, LITERATURE, AND ART OF PROVINCETOWN AND OUTER CAPE COD.
PMPM CHAMBER MUSIC FOR THE OUTER CAPE IS AN OPERATING PROGRAM OF THE PILGRIM MONUMENT AND PROVINCETOWN MUSEUM DEDICATED TO ADDING THE DIMENSION OF CHAMBER MUSIC AS A VITAL PART OF LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING A CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT SERIES PRESENTED IN THE OFFSEASON. WE ENVISION A CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT SERIES CONSISTING OF THREE CONCERTS PER YEAR PRESENTED OFF SEASON-FALL, WINTER AND SPRING.
