THE OLANCHO AID FOUNDATIONS, INC. IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT, FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT IS CREATING AN ECONOMICALLY SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY IN OLANCHO HONDURAS THAT PROVIDES FAMILIES AN OPPORTUNITY TO STAY WELL, STAY TOGETHER AND AN OPTION TO STAY AT HOME.
OUR MISSION IS TO PLANT AND NURTURE THE SEEDS OF FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE BY DELIVERING CATHOLIC-BASED EDUCATION AND PURIFIED WATER SOLUTIONS TO GOD'S BELOVED PEOPLE IN OLANCHO, HONDURAS.THE OLANCHO AID FOUNDATIONS, INC. IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT, FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT IS CREATING AN ECONOMICALLY SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY IN OLANCHO HONDURAS THAT PROVIDES FAMILIES AN OPPORTUNITY TO STAY WELL, STAY TOGETHER AND AN OPTION TO STAY AT HOME.
THE ORGANIZATION SUCESSFULLY OPERATED ITS FOUR SCHOOLS, ESCUELITA NAZARETH, CENTRO ESCOLAR SANTA CLARA, INSTITUTO BILINGUE SANTA CLARA, AND THE CARDINAL RODRIGUEZ INSTITUTE IN THE COUNTRY OF HONDURAS.ESCUELITA NAZARETH CONTINUED TO OPERATE AS THE ONLY SCHOOL FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN IN THE STATE OF OLANCHO, HONDURAS AND EDUCATED 86 STUDENTS WITH VARYING DISABILITIES INCLUDING DOWNS SYNDROME, CEREBRAL PALSY, AUTISM, VISUALLY IMPAIRED AND HEARING IMPAIRMENTS. IN ADDITION, THE ESCUELITA NAZARETH OFFERED VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR STUDENTS TO PREPARE THEM TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY. CENTRO ESCOLAR SANTA CLARA AND INSTITUTO BILINGUE SANTA CLARA HAVE EMERGED AS LEADING CATHOLIC, BILINGUAL ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE STATE OF OLANCHO, HONDURAS. THE SCHOOLS OFFERED STATE OF THE ART FACILIITES, LOW STUDENT/TEACHER RATIOS AND A FOCUS ON EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION FOR 595 STUDENTS, AS A RESULT OF A COLLABORATION BETWEEN ITS HIGH QUALITY HONDURAN STAFF AND NORTH AMERICAN VOLUNTEERS. THE CARDINAL RODRIGUEZ INSTITUTE MAINTAINED ITS RANKING AMONG THE TOP HIGH SCHOOLS IN ALL OF HONDURAS AND IN THE STATE OF OLANCHO AND PROVIDED A SECONDARY EDUCATION TO 129 STUDENTS.
THE ORGANIZATION SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED 14 MISSION GROUPS (TOTALING APPROXIMATLEY 160 PEOPLE) AND 7 LONG-TERM VOLUNTEERS DURING THE YEAR WHO PROVIDED VALUABLE EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES TO THE ORGANIZATION AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AND REFURBISHMENT, MEDICAL BRIGADES AND ENVIORNMENTAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS. DURING 2019 THE ORGANZATION INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED 27 WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEMS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES WHILE EDUCATING HONDURANS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN WATER. ADDITIONALLY, OLANCHO CONTINUED ITS PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH ST. BASIL THE GREAT PARISH OF BRECKSVILLE, OHIO TO MANAGE 54 MORE WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEMS IN THE AREA. THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES IN OLANCHO NOW HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER BECAUSE OF THESE EFFORTS.
