THE CONTINUED REVITALIZATION OF DOWNTOWN SALEM AS A VIBRANT, YEAR-ROUND, RETAIL, DINING AND CULTURAL DESTINATION THROUGH BUSINESS RETENTION, RECRUITMENT, AND THE PROMOTION OF DOWNTOWN DISTRICT.
All programs are designed to benefit the quality of life for residents, quality of business environment, and/or quality of visitor experience in the downtown Salem district. Salem Main Streets is overseen by a Steering Committee of community stakeholders, and is supported by seperate volunteer committees overseeing Design, Econommic Development, Organization and Promotion, and Fundraising, as well as event-specific committees for the Salem Farmers' Market and Salem Arts Festival.
