South Shore Peer Recovery organizes people in recovery from all addictions, their family members, friends and allies, to put a positive face on recovery. SSPR provides peer support, education, and advocacy opportunities; working to remove barriers to recovery;
South Shore Peer Receovery Received a Building Communites of Recovery grant from SAMHSA beginning October 1, 2017. The project includes three evidenced based programs for people in recovery and their families. They include: Telephone Recovery Support (TRS), Sober Parenting Journey, and CRAFT family intervention training. The first year focused on hiring staff, working with our data collection consultants to establish customized parameters for data collection and launching our programs. Two cohorts of Sober Parenting Journey have been launched, a 14 week program for indiviudals in recovery who are parenting. We also have trained peer volunteers, purchased a data collection system and launched TRS an active recovery support program that uses telephon support to help people build their recovery capital and connect with ongoing recovery resources. Our CRAFT program has been launched in the prior fiscal year.
