ALSO HELPED APUFRAM MAINTAIN FIVE HOUSES FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SEVEN PRIESTS WHO MUST TRAVEL MANY MILES TO MINISTER TO THEIR PARISHIONERS IN RURAL PARTS OF HONDURAS AND FINANCIALLY SUPPORTED THE WORK OF EIGHT LAY PASTORAL WORKERS MINISTERING IN RURAL COMMUNITIES. OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR AI SPONSORED FIVE VOLUNTEER GROUPS WHO WORKED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE BLOCK BUILDING TO HOUSE TURKEYS RAISED BY APUFRAM FOR FOOD & INCOME; REFURBISHMENT OF THE GUADALUPE CENTER KITCHEN INCLUDING REPLACEMENT OF FLOOR TILES AND REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF KITCHEN COUNTER GROUTING; REMOVAL OF OLD CONCRETE FLOOR IN GUADALUPE LIBRARY AND REPLACEMENT WITH NEW ONE; PAINTING OF BOTH LIBRARY AND KITCHEN WALLS; REPLACEMENT OF GUADALUPE DINING ROOM ROOF; REFURBISHMENT OF A ROOM AT GUADALUPE TO SERVE AS A RECREATION ROOM FOR YOUNG GIRLS. ALL CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION PROJECTS WERE FUNDED BY EITHER INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP DONORS. IN ADDITION, TWO GROUPS OF VOLUNTEER TEACHERS TAUGHT ENGLISH CLASSES TO SECONDARY LEVEL STUDENTS AT BOARDING CENTERS IN HONDURAS AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, AND ANOTHER GROUP ASSISTED TEACHERS OF PRIMARY LEVEL CLASSES AT SANTA ANA SCHOOL. APUFRAM INTERNATIONAL'S PRESIDENT ALSO COLLABORATED WITH AN UNAFFILIATED GROUP OF COLLEGE STUDENT VOLUNTEERS WHO FOCUSED ON LEARNING ABOUT HOW PUBLIC HEALTH IS DELIVERED IN HONDURAS WITH VISITS TO THREE AREA HOSPITALS. AS PART OF THEIR SERVICE AND WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF OUR PRESIDENT, THESE STUDENTS ALSO WORKED IN THE APUFRAM CLINIC AT THE SIDE OF THE PHYSICIAN SORTING THROUGH DONATED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND MEDICATION. FINALLY, 267 INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS PARTICIPATED IN THE APUFRAM INTERNATIONAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM.
