PRESERVATION - IN 2019 THE STABILIZATION AND RESTORATION BEGAN IN NEWLY- ACQUIRED MASONIC BUILDING, INCLUDING STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING ASSESSMENT AND PLAN, NEW FOUNDATION, FOOTINGS, AND BRACING OF MASONRY WALL. CRITICAL SUPPORT BEAM WAS REPLACED THAT SPANS FRONT FACADE. STUDIOWORKS BUILDING STOREFRONTS WERE REBUILT, INCLUDING NEW GROUND-FLOOR WINDOWS AND FRAMING, NEW ENTRIES, INCLUDING HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE DOORWAY AND IMPROVED VENTILATION WITH SCREENED TRANSOM WINDOWS. SEAMAN'S CHURCH FACADE WAS PAINTED AND A NEW PARTIAL FOUNDATION WAS POURED.
EDUCATION - IN 2019 THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORED A 2-MONTH ARTIST-IN- RESIDENCE WHOSE PRIMARY FOCUS WAS WORKING IN LOCAL ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS. OFFERED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP TO REGIONAL ART EDUCATORS ON VTS INQUIRY-BASED METHOD, USING MUSEUM COLLECTION AS SUBJECT. MOUNTED TWO EXHIBITIONS, ONE BASED ON MUSEUM COLLECTIONS AND ONE OF CONTEMPORARY ART, BOTH IN MUSEUM GALLERY AND A TEMPORARY CONTEMPORARY EXHIBITION IN NORTH CHURCH PROJECT SPACE, WHICH WAS ALSO THE LOCATION OF AN EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL CONCERT SERIES BY NEW YORK BAROQUE INCORPORATED.
