Alternative to Suspension Program (A2S) - In collaboration with the City of Augusta and Cony Middle & High Schools, the ABGC offers an Alternative to Suspension (A2S) program that is aimed at providing an educational alternative to students that have been suspended from school. The A2S program consists of 2 days at the ABGC where students go through self development and self discovery exercises to help in understanding what resulted in the suspension and how to prevent similar behavior in the future. The goal of the program is to help students in building skills that will help in preventing further school offenses.
ABGC After School Program - Through spirit, mind and body, the ABGC is a positive place for area teens to work with adults in realizing their full potential as healthy, productive, responsible and caring citizens. With our after school program our goal is to provide area teens opportunities for personal growth through safe new experiences that might include: physical activities, educational field trips, mentoring programs and opportunities to learn to better peer and adult communication skills.
ABGC Summer Program - During the summer months, the ABGC provides area youth with opportunities of summer growth by providing educational experiences. These experiences include educational field trips, opportunities to work with adult mentors and opportunities to hang out with friends in a safe environment. The goal of this program is to give students a productive alternative to time away from school during the summer months.
