In addition, the Center is a resource to the general public and medical community to increase awareness of all things aphasia. The Adaptive Outdoor Education Center is a fully accessible facility providing low-cost, hostel style accommodations in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. The Center's purpose is to enhance the quality of life for all people with disabilities through adaptive outdoor recreation and education opportunities while also being a resource for the general public.
